Euro Auctions to Hold Retirement Sale on Behalf of George Crawford & Son
Euro Auctions will be holding an off-site auction on behalf of local company, George Crawford & Son Quarry, currently operated by Uel Crawford, on 17th August at their site in Clogher, NI.
The Crawford business is now in its 3rd generation, originating in the 1920’s by the grandmother of current owner/operator Uel Crawford, it started by selling sand and gravel from the family farm. All loading was carried out using long tailed shovels onto horse & cart and thus began the well renowned reputation of selling clean, high quality sand and gravel. Uel’s Father, George Crawford, carried the baton forward and began trading near the current quarry location in the early 1940s, establishing and giving his name to the very successful Crawford Quarry business.
The current quarry location has been supplying to the Clogher Valley and surrounding areas for over 70 years. George Crawford built his reputation due to the high quality of his products, selling building blocks, gravel, sand, ready-mix concrete, draining stone and crushed rock. To develop and produce the high quality products required various machines and equipment of differing sizes and abilities, to both source and deliver. George Crawford maintained his machines to a high standard so Euro Auctions are delighted to be holding Crawford’s Retirement Sale on their behalf.
